Features

Everything in Velomo exists because a ride needed it.

No fitness dashboards you didn’t ask for. Just the tools that get you across the city well, and rider reports that make the routes better.

Routing

Three presets, one honest comparison.

Ask for a route and you get three. Each shows time, distance, a safety score and the risky spots on the way, so the trade-off is visible before you commit. Streets are scored on road type, number of lanes and speed limit; crossings and turns on traffic lights and how busy the road is.

  • Safest is the default. Set your usual route type once in your profile.
  • Scores are per street, not per area: a calm soi next to a busy main road still counts as calm.
  • Confirmed rider reports change everyone’s routes; your own reports change yours at once.

Navigation

Turn-by-turn that respects where you are.

Big arrows, early warnings for tricky junctions, and voice prompts timed for bike speed rather than car speed. Street names come from the map in the language you ride in, so a Thai street name is read in Thai, not spelled out.

  • English or Thai voice, male or female
  • A new route when you take your own way, with how it compares on safety
  • SOS screen while riding: emergency numbers and your emergency contact in one tap

Ride options

Options that change the route, not just the colour of the map.

Each option changes how the route is built. Switch them on for one ride or leave them on for the season.

  • Night riding avoids park paths, tracks and unpaved ways that are dark after sunset
  • Prefer shade leans on tree-lined streets and park paths, daytime only
  • OK to carry bike up stairs allows footbridges when you don’t mind lifting

Community

Routes get better because riders ride them.

Report a flood, a blocked soi or a dangerous crossing in two taps. Riders passing it are warned at once. A report counts once per rider, so one phone can’t steer everyone’s routes: once other riders confirm it, routes go around it. Then compare your rides with friends.

  • Eight kinds of report, from “flooded” to “great section”
  • Friends leaderboard for distance, CO₂ saved and rides, with badges you can share
  • Share your live ride with family or friends

Languages

Thai shows Thai. English shows English.

Pick a language on first start and the whole app follows: map labels, street names, voice prompts, menus. Nothing is half-translated and nothing falls back to English because a string was missing.

  • Full Thai and English interface
  • Street names in the language you chose
  • More languages as we add more cities
